Rackets
A racket is a repeated complaint joined to a fixed way of being. It has a payoff—perhaps being right or avoiding responsibility—and a cost, often in the relationship or workability we say we want.
Recognizing the payoff does not make the complaint false. It asks what keeps the pattern in place and what becomes possible when we no longer need that advantage.
