Calming Ginger Tea
Calming Ginger Tea uses fresh chopped ginger and water as its base, with maple syrup or honey available as an optional sweetener.
The ginger comes to a boil with the water and then simmers for at least five minutes. A longer simmer will naturally make the ginger flavor more assertive.
The sweetener is added after the simmering stage. The source frames the drink as a warming tea and makes four servings.
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons fresh ginger, chopped
- 4–6 cups water
- Maple syrup to taste, or honey, optional
Method
Combine the ginger and water in a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for at least 5 minutes. Add maple syrup or honey if desired and serve. Makes 4 servings.
