Parsley Tea
Parsley Tea is a simple three-ingredient infusion made from a full bunch of fresh parsley, water, and lemon juice.
The parsley goes into the pot with its stems included and simmers for 30 minutes after the water reaches a boil. That long simmer extracts the herb’s flavor before the solids are removed.
Lemon juice is added only after straining, so its fresh acidity remains distinct from the cooked parsley. The source makes three servings.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh parsley, stems included
- 3 cups water
- Juice of 1 lemon
Method
Combine the parsley and water in a large pot over high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain, stir in the lemon juice, and serve. Makes 3 servings.
