Principles
Principles are fundamentals we declare and use to orient action. Integrity or responsibility can serve as a principle when it guides what we do beyond a single convenient reason.
A principle differs from a justification. Reasons explain a choice after or before it; a principle gives us a standing question about the conduct we are willing to practice.
