Nannari Tea

Ingredients

  • 5 (1"-piece) nannari roots
  • 1 green cardamom pod
  • Honey / palm jaggery to taste

Method

  1. Dry the nannari roots in the shade. When fully dried, grind to powder with the cardamom pod. (This powder can be stored in a dry, airtight container for further use.)
  2. Bring 4 cups of water to the boil in a pot. Add the nannari powder; lower heat and simmer for at least 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and strain.
  3. Add honey / palm jaggery to taste. Serve hot.
