Ginger Mint Cocktail
Ginger Mint Cocktail blends fresh ginger and mint with lime juice, maple syrup or honey, and water before the drink is strained.
The ginger is puréed first, followed by the mint, so both fresh ingredients are fully broken down before the liquid ingredients are added.
Cheesecloth removes the fibrous solids after blending. The strained drink is then poured into glasses and finished with fresh mint leaves.
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons fresh ginger, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 4 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
- 4 cups water
- 4 fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Method
Purée the ginger in a blender or food processor until it becomes a paste. Add the mint and purée again. Add the lime juice, maple syrup or honey, and water and blend. Strain through cheesecloth, pour into glasses, and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Makes 4 servings.
