Acknowledge Your Work While It Is Still Unseen
You finish a piece of work that took care and patience. No one mentions it. The silence can feel like a judgment, though it may tell you very little about what anyone noticed or understood.
Recognition from other people is valuable. It can reveal an effect we missed and help us improve. Yet if we wait for it before we can value any part of our own effort, the work becomes dependent on a response we cannot control.
We can acknowledge what we actually did: the problem we addressed, the choices we made, and the care we brought. That is different from declaring the result beyond criticism. We can welcome feedback while still knowing why the work mattered enough to begin.
Sometimes a contribution is seen much later, and sometimes it is never publicly celebrated. Its next step need not wait for applause.
