Winning Formula
A winning formula can begin as a childhood response that helped us earn approval, avoid conflict, or manage uncertainty. It may look positive from the outside: being reliable, capable, agreeable, or always prepared.
The difficulty comes when the formula keeps running long after the situation that shaped it has passed. Finding where it began can help us see that what once worked is now a choice we can examine, rather than an identity we must keep obeying.
