Stinginess

Stinginess is the deliberate withholding of ourselves or our contribution. We keep what we could offer close, even when generosity would be possible.

This is not the same as setting a boundary or protecting limited resources. The distinction is the choice to hold back as a habitual way of relating when there is room to give.
