What is already so?
What can still be influenced?
What requires cooperation?
What cannot be changed now?
What response remains available?
A deterministic philosophy can go too far and say life simply acts through us.
An exaggerated philosophy of choice can go too far in the other direction and make people responsible for circumstances they did not cause.
