Hot Apple Cider
Hot Apple Cider is a three-ingredient drink made from apple juice, cinnamon bark, and cloves.
The juice and whole spices come to a boil together before the heat is reduced. A 10–15 minute simmer gives the cinnamon and cloves time to infuse.
The finished cider is strained before serving so only the spiced apple liquid remains. The source makes four servings.
Ingredients
- 5 cups apple juice
- 2 pieces broken cinnamon bark
- 2 cloves
Method
Combine the apple juice, cinnamon bark, and cloves in a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10–15 minutes. Strain before serving. Makes 4 servings.
