Familiar Is Not Always Aligned
A familiar position can become our measure of what is right. When something is adjusted, the new position may feel strange before we know whether the adjustment was sound.
That first feeling deserves attention, but it is not the whole test. We need a measure outside the habit itself. Otherwise an old pattern can quietly certify itself simply because we have practiced it for years.
The same question appears in work and relationships. Does the change fail to serve its purpose, or does it only interrupt the way we have learned to stand? We may need evidence, feedback, and time before answering.
Familiarity is valuable information about our history. Alignment asks a different question: what are we trying to be true to now?
