Commitment
A commitment is a stand toward a declared outcome. It organizes action beyond the moments when the outcome feels easy or likely.
That does not make circumstances irrelevant. When conditions change, commitment may call for a different method, a repair, or an honest renegotiation. Its force lies in how we honor the stand, not in pretending that every original plan remains possible.
