A breakdown is something you say should not be when an intention or commitment is thwarted; naming it restores access to possibility and action.

Breakdown

A breakdown is a gap between a commitment and what is happening. Something we intended or promised is not working as it was meant to.

Naming the breakdown makes the gap available for action. What was the commitment? What happened instead? What can be repaired, renegotiated, or created now? The name is useful when it opens that conversation, not when it becomes a label for failure.
