Acceptance Begins Where Control Ends
Control is unevenly distributed across experience.
We can choose some actions.
We can influence some outcomes.
We can prepare, negotiate, refuse, repair, practice, and decide.
Other facts are already beyond our control.
The event occurred.
Another person made their choice.
Time passed.
A limit exists.
The source material pushes this distinction toward a deterministic claim that life lives us rather than we live life.
That claim is philosophical and contested.
A more defensible inquiry does not need it.
Acceptance begins at the boundary where control no longer reaches.
It means recognizing what cannot be changed by insisting that it should already be different.
Agency begins beside that boundary.
Given what is now so, what can still be influenced?
Acceptance without agency becomes resignation.
Agency without acceptance wastes energy fighting facts that have already become facts.
The useful work is keeping both domains visible.
