This Is It Includes What We Would Rather Exclude

This is it sounds easy when we like what is here.

A quiet morning.

Good health.

Work going well.

The phrase becomes more demanding when the present contains what we want to exclude.

This conflict is not it.

This fatigue is not it.

This uncertainty is only temporary, so real life will begin later.

Acceptance interrupts that move.

The unwanted part is also part of the present condition.

That does not mean it should remain.

We may act to change it immediately.

But action becomes more grounded when we stop requiring reality to first become acceptable before we acknowledge that it is real.

This is it does not mean this is forever.

It does not mean this is good.

It means this is the starting point from which any honest next action must proceed.

The present includes what we welcome.

It also includes what we would rather edit out.
