Eradicating Prejudice
Prejudice begins when a fixed opinion about someone arrives before we have met them as they are. Letting go of that certainty can make a fresh encounter possible.
A fresh start is not a declaration that bias has vanished. It is a practice of noticing our assumptions, remaining open to correction, and allowing the person in front of us to be more than the story we brought.
