Disappear
To make a complaint disappear is not to pretend its subject never mattered. It is to address what gives the complaint its continuing hold.
Some part may call for a request, a repair, or a boundary. Another part may be repetition that no longer changes anything. The complaint becomes less necessary when the matter has been faced rather than merely silenced.
