A Year of Greatness — A Year of Genius
Greatness and genius can easily become labels reserved for exceptional people or rare moments. A more useful inquiry is what happens when we treat them as qualities of participation rather than identities to possess.
A year becomes different when we bring unusual care to ordinary actions: listening more completely, choosing more deliberately, contributing where something matters, and creating rather than merely reacting. None of this requires certainty about the outcome; it requires responsibility for the quality of our participation.
The point is not to prove that we are great or brilliant. It is to create conditions in which imagination, courage, discipline, and contribution have room to operate in what we do next.
